I am interested in a position with Explorer Pipeline. How do I apply?

To submit your resume listed on our career site (www.expl.com), please click the position you are interested in and scroll to the bottom of the job description and click on "Apply Online" button. Then, follow the instructions for resume submission as directed. At this time, we are only accepting online applications and resumes.

What will happen to my resume once it has been submitted?

Once you have completed an online application, your resume will be entered into our resume database. The database will direct your information to the appropriate Human Resource member for each position you apply to.

I recently submitted my resume. What is my next step?

If your skills and experience match the requirements of an open position, a member of Human Resources may contact you. Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we cannot contact each person who submits interest for a position.

If you are not selected, your profile will remain in our database and be available for consideration for other positions. You are welcome to return to our website to view other opportunities at any time.

I don’t have an e-mail account. Can I still use your website to submit interest for a job?

Unfortunately, no. You must have an e-mail address to create an account and submit interest for jobs through Explorer Pipeline Careers website. Your e-mail address is one of the indicators we use to identify you in our system and also serves as one avenue to communicate with you. If you currently do not have an email account, you may consider signing up for a free account through hotmail, yahoo, or gmail.

How do I check my status for a position?

To view your status for a position, please login to your profile. You can also update your profile and view applications submitted. If you have forgotten your password, click on the link provided to retrieve.

I don’t have access to a computer. Can I mail, fax or email my resume?

No; we only accept applications/resumes online. If you have a resume you would like to attach, we can provide assistance. If you do not have access to a computer, we recommend you visit a local public library since they typically have Internet access. Our website address is www.expl.com.

I am having trouble completing my application online. Can you help?

Yes, please email Careers@expl.com with a brief description of what difficulties you are having and a member of Human Resources will respond to you as quickly as possible.

I’m going to be in town, can I schedule a meeting with a recruiter?

No, you must apply online in order to be considered for employment and you will be contacted by Human Resources if you meet the requirements of a position or a manager requests an in-person meeting.

Why do I have to take an Assessment/Test?

Some positions require that you take an assessment/test in order to be qualified to move forward in the interview process. If there is an assessment required for the position you apply for, Human Resources will inform you of it when they contact you.

Do you take resumes from a 3rd Party or Similar Organizations?

Explorer Pipeline accepts resumes only from agencies with which we formally engage their services. Please do not forward resumes to our applicant tracking system, Explorer Pipeline employees, or send to any Explorer Pipeline facility. Explorer Pipeline is not responsible for any fees or charges associated with unsolicited resumes.

I saw an ad for an open position on another website but I don’t see it listed on your website. Is the position still available?

External job boards update their job postings anywhere from nightly to every 30 days. Explorer Pipeline Careers website is updated daily. For this reason, you could see a job on a job board that is no longer accepting submissions.

What is the salary range?

Explorer Pipeline offers competitive compensation. Salaries will vary depending on the skills and years of experience required. If you have a specific salary expectation, please state this in your online application.

Will the personal information that I provide on the Explorer Pipeline Careers website be shared with any third parties?

Your information will never be shared with a third-party vendor without your authorization. Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment are required to complete pre-employment contingencies, which require a third-party vendor’s analysis. In these instances, your information is shared only for the purpose of completing the contingencies (background check, drug screening, employee health screening, verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. using E-Verify, etc.). These vendors are required to keep your information secure and confidential.

When uploading attachments (resumes, cover letters, etc.), what are the file format limitations?

You can upload an attachment in any of the following file formats: Word (.doc, .docx); Excel (.xls, .xlsx); Rich Text Format (.rtf); Portable Document Format (.pdf); and Text (.txt).

Can I delete my profile?

Due to federal record-keeping requirements, profiles cannot be removed from our database.

I am not an Explorer Pipeline employee. My friend who is an employee gave me a job number to search, but I can’t find it on the Explorer Pipeline Careers website.

Your friend may be looking at a job that is only available to Explorer Pipeline employees. If the job is not filled internally, the job may become available to external applicants in the future. You can periodically check back on our website and search by the job number or title.
